Cohort 1 is heading to Rwanda in July

This summer Phil & Diane will take a group of students from Cohort 1 to Rwanda for their first immersion experience as trained Global Trauma Recovery Facilitators. Each of these students will have completed 144 hours of training from GTRI faculty, across topics such as the neurobiology of trauma, cultural competencies, and the latest in train-the-trainer skills. The purpose of this trip will be to put into action cross cultural listening and helping skills. The group will practice listening to cases of local counselors and caregivers and provide resource building seminars to improve the counseling skills of the same caregivers.

Interested in supporting the fundraising for this event? Each student is required to fund-raise at least half of the costs of the trip (total cost per student: $3500.) Your gift will support this missional project of Biblical Seminary and enable these students to follow Jesus into the world of international trauma counseling.
